A graduate of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical Institute in 1982.
She began her professional career at the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital, working as a general practitioner from 1982 to 1984. In 1984, she returned to the Ivano-Frankivsk region and worked as a district physician at the Stryhantsi Numbered Hospital. From 1985 to 1990, she served as an endocrinologist for the Tysmenytsia district of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Between 1990 and 1993, she worked as an on-call (urgent) endocrinologist at the Ivano-Frankivsk City Clinical Hospital, and from 1993 to 2002, she was a staff physician at the endocrinology department of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Hospital. Since 1998, she has held the highest qualification category in the specialty of Endocrinology.
While working as a practicing physician, she defended her PhD thesis in 1997 on the topic: “Clinical and Metabolic Changes and Their Correction in Elderly Patients with Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus and Secondary Sulfonylurea Resistance.” In 2011, she defended her doctoral dissertation titled “The Role of Iodine Deficiency and Hypothyroidism in the Development of Metabolic Syndrome in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.” Since 2014, she has been serving as the Head of the Department of Endocrinology at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University (IFNMU). She has 25 years of teaching experience in a higher education institution of the IV level of accreditation.
Her primary scientific interests include diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, and thyroid diseases. She is the author of over 200 scientific publications, including 19 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. She is also a co-author of the national textbook "Endocrinology," seven educational manuals, two monographs, and the holder of three Ukrainian utility model patents. She has supervised three PhD candidates and is currently supervising one more PhD dissertation.
Professor N.V. Skrypnyk is an active participant and speaker at international scientific forums, including in Milan, Barcelona, Hamburg, New Orleans (USA), San Francisco (USA), Paris, and London. She is an active member of numerous endocrinological societies both in Ukraine and internationally, and serves as the Chair of the Association of Endocrinologists of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region. She is also the principal investigator in numerous international randomized clinical trials focused on pharmaceutical research.
