Abstract
An analysis of scientific publications on the psychological characteristics of students from different countries in terms of their distance learning against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic. The peculiarities of indicators of anxiety, depression and stress in students of Kyiv higher education institutions in the autumn of 2022, depending on gender, have been studied. A total of 96 students from different universities aged 18 to 23 were surveyed, including 67 girls and 29 boys. Surveys were conducted on nonverbal and verbal tests: M. Luscher’s eight-color test and the HADS anxiety and depression questionnaire. The results of the survey showed that the nonverbal test of M. Luscher tends to be more likely to have high levels of stress in boys, while the verbal test of HADS is more likely to be observed high and high levels of anxiety in girls. The results obtained require further research and indicate the importance of combining verbal and nonverbal tests in the process of examining students, especially boys, in order to identify their psychological disorders in a timely manner and refer them to appropriate specialists.
