Discourse on the european context of medical profession in Ivano-Frankivsk

Abstract

The article discusses European context of the development of medical profession in Ivano-Frankivsk during the second half of ХIХ and first half of ХХ centuries. Scientific and technological progress, which was initiated by the discoveries of European scientists at that time, had a direct positive impact on the development of medical profession in the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. From 1772 to 1918, in this separately designated administrative territory within the Austrian Empire, which corresponded to the lands of one of the state formations of Ukrainians in the times of early feudalism, the development of the medical field took place according to European standards.
