Abstract

The aim of the study was to study the nature of eating behavior in patients with certain diseases of the internal organs. Material and methods. 154 patients with combined pathology, including IBS, hypertension and obesity, were examined. Eating behavior was assessed using the DEBQ questionnaire, and serum ghrelin levels were determined on an empty stomach and one hour after a meal by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using Ray Biotech Human Ghrelin EIA kits (USA).
Results and their discussion. It was found that patients with combined pathology most often (54%) had an emotional type of eating behavior and slightly less often (16.7%) external. Restrictive type of eating behavior was most often observed in those examined for IBS, and in 61% of patients with hypertension, no eating behavior violations were noted. Ghrelin levels also depended on eating behavior and were the lowest in comorbid pathology, slightly less in IBS. Postprandial ghrelin levels in patients with comorbid pathology, in contrast, increased 2.1 times.
Conclusion. Thus, as can be seen from the above studies in patients with pathology of the internal organs there are violations of eating behavior, which are manifested in different types.
