Abstract

Medicine is one of the critically essential components of our existence. The issue of the formation of scientific medical schools is of paramount importance in the functioning of the healthcare sector. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University (IFNMU), the article explores the historical discourse on the preconditions and continuity of the Prykarpattia Scientific School of Internal Medicine. From a historical retrospective, the article highlights the continuity in the activity of the Prykarpattia Scientific School of Internal Medicine with the traditions of the prominent Ukrainian clinical and scientific center — the Kyiv School of Therapists.
